Delaware Democratic Party to Host Virtual Statewide Candidates' Forum Featuring Attorney General and State Treasurer Candidates

 

WILMINGTON, Del. – The Delaware Democratic Party will host a virtual statewide candidates' forum on Tuesday, July 21, giving Delaware voters the opportunity to hear directly from the Democratic candidates for Attorney General and State Treasurer ahead of the September 15 primary. The forum will be moderated by Sherese Brewington-Carr and livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook.

WHY: With early voting beginning September 1 and the primary election set for September 15, this forum gives Delaware Democrats a chance to compare the candidates seeking two of the state's most consequential offices. Voters will hear the candidates address the issues that matter most to Delaware families, from protecting civil rights to safeguarding the state's finances.

 

HOW: Candidates will participate virtually. Both debates will be livestreamed through official Delaware Democratic Party platforms. Democratic subdivisions, county committees, and affiliated organizations are encouraged to submit questions before and during the livestream.

 

Questions will be submitted through a shared Google document for consideration during the live Q&A portions of each debate.

The Attorney General forum will be first and will last for one hour, followed by the State Treasurer forum, which will also last one hour. Total time, including an intermission, will be approximately two hours and 15 minutes. 

 

Members of the media are encouraged to view the livestream and are welcome to request interviews with candidates or party officials.
