Please join us virtually on Tuesday, August 4 at 6 PM ET for our Statewide Endorsement Meeting. At this meeting each statewide candidate involved in a primary race will have three minutes to make their pitch followed by a 10-minute comment period for voting members. The State Executive Committee will then decide whether to endorse in that race. A simple majority threshold will determine any vote taken.
As noted in rule 9.2 of our Party rules, abstentions shall not count as “no” votes. For example, in a committee with ten (10) members, if eight (8) are present at a meeting (and so a quorum is present), and five (5) members vote, a measure would pass with a vote of three (3) in favor and two (2) opposed.
Please RSVP to Seth@deldems.org to receive the meeting link. If you are a voting member of the State Executive Committee and cannot attend but would still like to vote, you can vote by proxy. Please submit your proxy to Seth@deldems.org before the meeting for clerical review by the Parliamentarian.
