(NEW CASTLE, DE) – Delaware Democratic Party Chair John D. Daniello released the following statement on today’s Supreme Court decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act:

“In its ruling today upholding the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act, the Supreme Court reaffirmed that all Americans deserve quality, affordable health care. Now that all three branches of government have voiced support for President Obama’s health care law, it’s time to move past the political battle over health care reform.  We need to focus on fully implementing the law so we can cut costs and ensure Delawareans get the care they need.

“The Supreme Court’s decision means we can continue to implement provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act here in Delaware to ensure Delawareans have the best access to care.  We will keep working to make sure insurers cover preexisting conditions, Delawareans don’t go bankrupt because they get sick, and young people have access to care through their parents’ insurance until they are 26.”
