Sen. Carper Visits Farm Ravaged By Drought
31 July 2012
With a severe drought gripping the nation, Sen. Tom Carper witnessed first-hand the devastating effect the drought has had on our crops when he visited a corn and soybean farm near Georgetown Delaware. This visit was only the most recent display of support by Senator Tom Carper for our nation’s farmers. He has worked to pass the Farm Bill which will improve the economic prospects of our farmers, and yesterday Sen. Carper and Sen. Coons visited a cattle farmer, Carlton Jones, in Seaford to see the conservation efforts he has made on his farm.
