Obama Campaign National Voter Registration and Mobilization Event  

Rodney Square, Wilmington.  We will be meeting at 10am to pass out registration forms, clipboards, pens, etc and to give basic instructions on how the forms should be completed.  Once that basic training is complete, you will be sent out and about Wilmington and the rest of New Castle County and the State to look for new voters.  We have some events lined up as well as locations picked out to send volunteers to such as the Flower Market in Rockford Park  but a lot of this will depend on you to have some ideas on where you think it will be most likely to find new voters.  So, please bring ideas and be prepared to go with a partner or two.  Remember, we want folks to sign up as Democrats to not only help Barack Obama win in November but also to help all of our great Democratic statewide candidates in the fall.  However, it is not a requirement that a new voter register as a Democrat.  We are taking all new voters.   We are asking everyone to put in about 3 hours and then RETURN to Rodney Square with your completed forms by 2pm.  This is very important.  The campaign wants to tally up the forms to have a specific number to report in from Delaware
