Poll: Castle vs. Coons race tightens
Friday, July 16th, 2010
By: Bill Cook
The gap has narrowed in the race to fill the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by Vice President Joe Biden, according to a new poll.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely voters in Delaware finds Congressman Mike Castle, a Republican, with 47 percent support. Democrat Chris Coons received 36 percent, his best showing yet. In April, Castle held a 55 percent to 32 percent advantage. It's the first time Castle's support has dipped below 50 percent.

84 Days LaterPosted on ChrisCoons.com on July 13th: It's hard to believe that after 84 days, oil is still spilling out into the Gulf and the lives of those Americans on its coast are still getting worse. The Deepwater Horizon oil spill is a tragic example of why we can no longer rely on oil as our nation's main source of energy, and the notion that we might risk such a disaster on Delaware's shores is incomprehensible. As your Senator, I'll fight to prevent companies like BP from drilling here and putting Delaware's future at risk. Click below to listen to Chris speak about offshore drilling:
Then, will you invite five of your friends to stand with us against drilling by joining our campaign?
